The NAHB Research Center organized and held an Expert Meeting on The QMS Path to Building Profitable, High Performance Homes on July 15th, 2009 in Upper Marlboro, MD. A group of approximately 35 building professionals with interest and experience in implementing a quality business management system as well as incorporating technical practices that improve the energy performance of homes was convened.
The group examined barriers to the effective design and construction of high performance homes (HPH) and the role for HPH quality management system to build these homes. They also tried to identify resources or solutions to address these barriers to the effective design and
construction of HPHs.
This report presents the findings of this Expert meeting, and includes presentations & other materials provided at the meeting.
