This final report describes the results of an investigation of carpet soiling in selected homes and focuses on mitigation of carpet soiling problems. The research objectives included evaluating cleaning methods to identify solutions builders could use for immediate problems and testing air sealing as a method for mitigating or preventing carpet soiling. Researchers selected two homes for testing, and also performed a laboratory analysis of carpet samples.
