Significant Results: |
- Advanced framing techniques allowed more insulation in certain areas, adding to overall energy efficiency, and saved some materials costs.
- The ICF foundation system, combined with the narrow side yards of the site, was not conducive to using volunteer labor.
- Dutch Lap fiber-cement siding was easier for the unskilled labor force to install than shingle siding.
