The Rehab Guide: Electrical/Electronics is Volume 7 in a series of guidebooks produced by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The Rehab Guide seeks to keep the design and construction industry abreast of innovations and state-of-the-art practices in home rehabilitation.
Volume 7 of the Rehab Guide acts as a reference resource for information about electrical/electronics systems, subsystems and materials, a review of current theory in terms of performance of these systems; a discussion of new materials, techniques, or components that have recently been improved or that represent totally new product lines; and state-of-the-art practice and new standards in cabling. This volume includes an overview of electrical issues and electronics, and chapters on service panels, wiring and receptacles, lighting and controls, electric baseboard heating, phone/computer/TV cabling and security systems.
The information in each chapter is organized by essential knowledge; techniques, materials and tools; suggestions for further reading; and/or product information.
