This report provides objectives, principles and design considerations for a new approach to residential storm water runoff management. Design considerations include storm water runoff analysis considerations, storage considerations and criteria, streets and curbs, natural drainage, underground pipe systems, storm water inlets, and legal implications. This publication aims to stimulate communities to adopt storm water management practices that are responsive to local conditions and supportive of the basic objectives and principles presented within the report.
