January 1995

This design guide provides installers with an express method for simplifying and expediting residential fire sprinkler design and layout. It incorporates extensive experience on installing residential fire sprinklers in accordance with NFPA 13-D. Most homes can be pre-engineered following design methods contained in this standard. The Design Guide is intended only for use in residential applications for one- and two-family dwellings and townhouses and to assist the user in preparing designs of residential sprinkler systems which are in compliance with the NFPA 13-D standard.
