The fact sheet includes information about modern windows, including design, selection and installation; an explanation of window properties, including U-factor, SHGC, air leakage, and VT; window specification guidelines; and window technologies that can improve the energy efficiency and performance of windows, such as the frame material, insulated glazing, spacers, low-emittance coatings, spectrally-selective coatings, inert gas fill, heat-absorbing (or tinted) glass and reflective glass.
