House Design

Two-story luxury, 2,500+ s.f. home with 600 s.f. of finished attic. Twelve-inch deep frost protected shallow foundation (FPSF) with 1-inch XPS vertical perimeter insulation. Wood-framed wall construction and light-gauge steel floor framing.

Evaluation Methodology

  • Monitor installation of PATH technologies
  • nterview primary sales agent to determine homebuyer reactions to the technologies after about 50 prospective homeowners toured the model
  • Monitor and test completed home to determine duct leakage, house leakage, and frost heave potential of the FPSF, including temperature sensors placed around various points of the slab
