Content Creation Sponsorships
Content creation sponsorships underwrite the development of new educational
information for placement in ToolBase publications and online resources.
NAHB Research Center staff members are looking to work with sponsor partners to
create new educational tools to address the uniqueness of each technology, and
present the information in straightforward, easy-to-read formats.
In all cases, sponsors will receive appropriate acknowledgement—building their
credibility as subject matter experts and increasing their exposure in the
industry as a solutions provider. However, they are not able to promote a
particular manufacturer through any project. All items developed under
this type of sponsorship will be available free-of-charge on the ToolBase
website, but may also be posted on the sponsor’s website.
Examples of educational pieces include:
-
Online decision making tools: To assist builders, remodelers, and trade
contractors in the selection of a product’s proper size for individual
applications.
-
TechNotes: To create a white paper or design guide on a topic germane to
a subject of mutual interest to the NAHB Research Center.
See an example.
-
Distributor databases for PATH Technology Inventory listees: To fund the
development and linkage of existing company databases, with the ToolBase
website providing users a single point of access to obtain product distributor
information.
-
CAD detail set development: To fund the creation of generic CAD details,
encouraging their use in home plans.
See an example.
-
Installation and demonstration videos: To support the development of
useful online videos.
See an example.
-
Hotlines and e-newsletters: To support the creation and implementation of
hotlines that provide technical assistance to builders.
-
TechSpecs/Builder-friendly technology reports: To fund the creation of
basic reports on innovative technologies that utilize established, recognizable
templates. See an
example.
